Zimbra Collaboration 8.6 Patch 6 now available

We are delighted to launch this new Patch, number six for ZCS 8.6.0, which includes a couple of fixes on the Delegation Admins feature. If you had issues with it, please download the Patch 6 now.

Please do a full backup or snapshot before installing this Patch. You can download the patch and the md5 and the SHA 256 file here:

All Zimbra Collaboration 8.6.0 sites are recommended to install this patch. Patch 6 is cumulative with all the previous five patches, so only Patch 6 is required in case you didn’t installed the previous ones.

ZCS 8.6.0 Patch 6 Bug Fixes

Admin – Console
  • Bug 102850 – Grantee name is disabled while adding ACL in account/cos/
  • Bug 103122 – Delegated Admins not able to create new accounts when account limit per COS is set.
Install & Upgrade
  • Bug 102836 – Patch script should not undeploy updated Zimlets

Before Installing the Patch

Before installing the patch, consider the following:

  • Zimbra Collaboration patches can be found at https://www.zimbra.com/downloads/zimbra-collaboration
  • Patches are delivered as a TGZ file and are cumulative.
  • A full backup should be performed before any patch is applied. There is no automated roll-back mechanism.
  • Zimlet patches can include removing existing Zimlets and redeploying the patched Zimlet.
  • Only files or Zimlets associated with installed packages will be installed from the patch.
  • Switch to user zimbra before using ZCS CLI commands.

Install the Patch

Read carefully the Release Notes, for this Patch 6.

Important! You cannot revert to the previous ZCS release after you upgrade to the patch.

    the patch is only to NE ??? I ask this, because in the page of community, the last patch is the 5

      Hi Hugo, patch is the same, you can use the one in the NE section, it will be fixed anyways today, but for now, please use the NE bits you can find on the website.

    Hola Jorge, una consulta a realizar el update no se pierden ninguna configuración del servidor los buzones?

      Saludos David, depende de las configuraciones a las que te refieras, si has realizado algun cambio en ficheros directamente, etc. Lo mejor es hacer Backup, si te refieres a cambios que hayas realizado a nivel de LDAP o DB, no perderas esos cambios.

    Buen dia,

    Instalé el Hotfix 6 para solucionar el bug con las screenshoot o imagenes pegadas en el editor del webmail ( Bug 98420 – Unable to Paste an image from the clipboard into the html editor body using Ctrl-V )

    Solamente se corrigió en Google Chrome, en Firefox el problema persiste.

    La version es la siguiente:
    Release 8.6.0_GA_1153.RHEL6_64_20141215151155 RHEL6_64 FOSS edition, Patch 8.6.0_P6.

    Hay alguna manera de solucionar esto?

    Hi, just downloaded the OSE Patch from https://www.zimbra.com/downloads/zimbra-collaboration-open-source/ and installed it on a fresh ose and it still says NETWORK afterwards.
    Thought this has been fixed? Am i’m running ose or network now?

      Hi hans, that it’s an expected behavior. You are still running Open Source Edition, I think that will be fixed if we finally release a 8.6.1 with all the previous patches.

    Hi mahesh, it’s perfectly fine to update within the Patch 6, you will just see after upgrade that you are running Network Edition, just on the Admin Console, it will show it properly at doing zmcontrol -v on CLI.

    I need help.. after applying the patch we are experiencing a very slow mail server specially using webmail. Is this the cause of slow server?

      Please check the content of /etc/sudoers, and make sure at the end you have something like this:

      o solo edito sudores y adiciono las lineas indicadas

    edition, Patch 8.6.0_P7.

    i’m facing vulnerability issue# https://192.x.x.x/res/I18nMsg,AjxMsg,ZMsg,ZmMsg,AjxKeys,ZmKeys,ZdMsg,Ajx%20TemplateMsg.js.zgz?v=091214175450&skin=../../../../../../../../../opt/zimbra/conf/localconfig.xml

    After installing Patch7 also we are facing issue please help me to fix the issue.

    Que tal jorge, te escribo por que recientemente el antivirus del zimbra (clamav-0.97.8) comenzó a dar errores, por ser una versión ya en desuso, me baje un complemento de zimbra para tratar de resolver este problema (clamav-0.98.4), pero ahora me da errores de libreriassl

    opt/zimbra/clamav/sbin/clamd: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

    Al parecer todo me indica que debo instalar el último patch, la versión del zimbra que tengo instalada es: 8.0.6_GA_5922.FOSS.
    Me gustaría saber el link de donde bajo este path y si me pueden dar algunas recomendaciones antes de realizar la actualización , ya que es un sistema en producción con mas de 1500 ctas.
