Coming Soon! Zimbra Patch for Chrome 73 Bug

Hello Zimbra Friends,

Zimbra Support has received several cases where users are unable to view HTML messages after upgrading to Chrome version 73.

Chrome 73 is a beta release, and it is not officially supported by Zimbra.

But we have good news! The bug has been resolved, and a fix will be in the next patch release for Zimbra versions 8.7.11, 8.8.10 and 8.8.11 (tentative patch release date is March 4).

Until the next patch has been released and installed, users experiencing this issue should either use a different browser or downgrade to Chrome version 72.

Click here for info on how to downgrade Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/7125792?hl=en&ref_topic=9023448

We also recommend disabling Chrome auto-updates on all clients until the patch has been installed.

If you are running a version of Zimbra that’s not listed above, you will need to either upgrade to a supported version or to keep Chrome at version 72.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Many thanks,
Your Zimbra Friends & Colleagues

    Hi,

We just moved our 100 000 accounts infrastructure to ZCS 8.8.9. Another major upgrade to 8.8.11 in a hurry is just possible. Please provide the patch for ZCS 8.8.9.

    Regards

    Frederic.

    Hi Damien,

Thanks a lot for sharing this information. We did try the latest Chrome 73 Build against ZCS 8.8.9 and the HTML rendering of messages works again. Hope it stays that way.

    Frédéric.
