One of the biggest new features in Zimbra 8 is out-of-the-box Unified Communications integration. Next Wednesday, we’re excited to demo our Zimbra-Cisco UC integration in a live webinar. In a joint presentation with Cisco, we’ll showcase how VMware and Cisco are working together to improve the entire end user experience from email to real-time presence and WebEx, all while simplifying IT administration of the entire communications infrastructure.
If you’re looking for more information on how we communicate in the Post-PC era, be sure to attend this webinar. Register today…

Any plans for these features to be added to the Desktop Client?
Kraig, no plans currently for this to be a feature of the Zimbra Desktop client, although we’ll look at how to potentially provide such integrated UC features in a future version of the Zimbra offline client.
Bummer. I could see a lot of people wanting these features in a Desktop Client along with the Web interface.
Yes it will be handy having this feature on the zimbra desktop client
What about a similar integration for Broadsoft?
If we an outlook client does this same integration apply.
