Zimbra Patches: 8.8.12 Patch 2 + 8.8.11 Patch 5

Hello Zimbra Friends, Customers & Partners,

Zimbra 8.8.12 “Isaac Newton” Patch 2 and 8.8.11 “Homi Bhabha” Patch 5 are here.

For Zimbra 8.8.8 and above, you don’t need to download any patch builds. The patch packages can be installed using Linux package management commands. Please refer to the respective release notes for patch installation on Red Hat and Ubuntu platforms.

Zimbra 8.8.12 “Isaac Newton” Patch 2

Patch 2 is here for the Zimbra 8.8.12 “Isaac Newton” GA release, and it includes fixes as listed in the release notes.

Patch Installation

Please read this section before proceeding with 8.8.12 Patch 2 installation.

  • This patch includes fixes only on Zimbra NG modules. There are no fixes to Zimbra Core modules.
  • Core packages are not updated in Patch 2. The latest core packages are in 8.8.12 Patch 1. Please refer to https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_Releases/8.8.12/P1.
  • As NG packages are add on packages, Zimbra versions checked with the “zmcontrol -v” command will not be updated after installing NG packages.

Note: Installing a zimbra-patch package only updates the Zimbra core packages.

Zimbra 8.8.11 “Homi Bhabha” Patch 5

Patch 5 is here for the Zimbra 8.8.11 “Homi Bhabha” GA release, and it includes fixes as listed in the release notes.

Patch Installation

Please read this section before proceeding with 8.8.11 Patch 5 installation.

  • This patch includes fixes only on Zimbra NG modules. There are no fixes to Zimbra Core modules.
  • Core packages are not updated in Patch 5. The latest core packages are in 8.8.11 Patch 4. Please refer to https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_Releases/8.8.11/P4.
  • As NG packages are add on packages, Zimbra versions checked with “zmcontrol -v” command will not be updated after installing NG packages.
