Using Zimbra’s Voice Message Zimlet
Hi Zimbra Friends, Partners & Customers,
Today’s post is from Barry de Graaff, Channel Evangelist for Zimbra Synacor, and it shows you how to use Zimbra’s Voice Message Zimlet. The Voice Message Zimlet lets you record an audio message attachment in email using:
- Chrome and Firefox on the desktop
- Android devices
- Internet Explorer (if the user has installed VLC)
Playback works on all platforms, but to playback on Apple devices, users need to install the VLC app from the app store.
Zimlet Developers … This Zimlet doesn’t have any configurable options … just use yum/apt to install it.
To attach a voice message to an email …
- Click the paper clip icon.
Zimbra’s Voice Message Zimlet: Click paper clip icon in Zimbra Email
2. Click to start recording.
Zimbra’s Voice Message Zimlet: Click Start recording voice message
3. Click Done to end recording.
Zimbra’s Voice Message Zimlet: Click Done
And there’s the voice message attachment.
