By | June 5, 2014

Zimbra was among the select companies that Forrester Research, Inc. invited to participate in its Q2 2014, Forrester Wave™ evaluation, Enterprise Social Platforms. In this evaluation, Zimbra was cited as a Leader. This is the second time that Zimbra (formerly Telligent) has been named a Leader by Forrester for its social suite. “The offering was a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Enterprise Social Platforms, Q3 2011, under the name Telligent and was rebranded following the acquisition of Zimbra.”

The Q2 2014 report evaluated enterprise social platform providers against 65 criteria. In it, Zimbra received the highest possible scores for partners; event logs, monitoring, and reporting; end-user language support UI(s), and user-delegated security. The report highlights the importance of enterprise social platform vendors’ strategies for providing long-term differentiation. It discusses Zimbra’s focus on delivering a new, integrated user experience that combines traditional methods of collaboration, such as email and task management, with social capabilities.

“With this strategy, Zimbra will look to break down barriers between traditional knowledge worker technologies and create a new and more compelling experience that accesses functionality as integrated services to work in the context of each other,” Forrester said in the report.

According to the report, “Zimbra shines for organizations that are looking for a radically new and potentially powerful user experience.”
